CATERING
Serpentine is a fully catered site. Our professional and experienced team of catering staff prepare meals on location. We will work together with your group to put together a tailored menu to suit your camp. We are able to cater for special dietary needs, and special requests.
Catering includes all meals, morning and afternoon tea and supper.
HISTORY
In 1969, eight hectares at Serpentine was purchased by Baptist Churches Western Australia, and the buildings were developed with the help of a grant.
With new lawns, trees, tennis courts and a pool established, it opened in late 1971. With excellent group facilities and its close proximity to the metropolitan area, the site soon grew in popularity. Our full-court basketball gymnasium was built in 1997. The present site remains, and has been continuously improved to meet the benchmark and expectations of a modern camping experience.
The trend of church groups staying at the weekends, and school groups during the weekdays, continues today. Serpentine is well-known to thousands of Western Australians, with many educational providers, youth groups, family groups, faith-based organisations and churches and community groups now in the third generation of campers to have memories of a Serpentine camping experience.
