Baptist Camping Centres (BCC) is one of WA’s longest running camping groups, with many young people now the third generation in their family to return to our sites and camps. As a not-for-profit group, BCC is backed by Baptist Churches Western Australia.

Properties have been carefully chosen for their natural surroundings that enhance retreat and adventure. While initially designed as places for church and youth groups to get away together, the whole community can now enjoy staying at a Baptist Camping Centre.

We manage and operate centres in Serpentine and Busselton. All of our properties are continually maintained and improved by professional onsite managers committed to providing excellent group camping experiences.

If you are planning to get away together as a group, find out what services and facilities are available, or book a site visit today.

Where it all began…

The first WA Baptist camp was held in Easter 1945 at Watermans Bay, a northern coastal suburb of Perth with properties limited largely to beach shacks at that time.

The venture was such a success that a group of dedicated campers was formed to develop a camping youth ministry. With some building materials purchased from Army Disposals, a camp in Rockingham was held under makeshift canvas, with the first two huts added for later camps.

The lease ended and the search for a more suitable block began, culminating in the opening of the Busselton Camping Centre to service the South West region.  Serpentine Camping Centre followed shortly after.

Accommodation and facilities continue to be improved so that all Centres set the benchmark in today’s camping standards, and continue to respond to the needs of community groups.

Baptist Churches Western Australia pays tribute to the sacrificial contributions of the early visionaries who have made enjoying our present sites possible.
